Beverly Naya

Beverly Naya is a British-Nigerian filmmaker, producer, and cultural storyteller whose work explores identity, beauty, and self-worth. Born in London to Nigerian parents, she relocated to Lagos in 2011, where she built a successful acting career, starring in major productions including 2 Weeks in Lagos and The Wedding Party—one of the highest-grossing Nigerian films of all time.

In 2019, she expanded into filmmaking, producing and directing Skin, a critically acclaimed Netflix documentary that sparked global conversations around colourism and identity. The project marked a shift from performance to purpose-driven storytelling, positioning her as a leading voice in shaping cultural narratives.

She is the founder of the Skin Summit, a growing platform centred on identity, ownership, and self-worth, designed to create meaningful dialogue and community through curated experiences for Black women. A Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 honouree, Beverly continues to build across film, live experiences, and digital platforms—creating spaces where storytelling drives both cultural and economic impact.
