Frannie Leautier

Frannie Leautier

Dr. Frannie Léautier is Senior Partner and CEO of SouthBridge Investments. She has worked in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Previously, she served as Vice President at the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Chief Operating Officer at the Trade and Development Bank (TDB). She also spent 15 years in several senior roles at the World Bank, including as Infrastructure Director, Vice President, and Chief of Staff to the President. Additionally, she was the Executive Secretary of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).

Dr. Léautier serves on the boards of the UN Foundation, Orca Energy Group, Norsad Capital, CFAO, Les Eaux Minérales d’Oulmes, FSD Africa, and Momentum/Metropolitan Life. She also chairs the Investment Committees of the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) and Birimian Ventures. She has co-chaired the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Councils and previously served on the boards of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), the King Baudouin Foundation US (KBFUS), the Nelson Mandela Institute for Science and Technology (NM-AIST), African Risk Capacity Ltd, and ODI.

A distinguished professor at Sciences Po Paris, Dr. Léautier has authored several books. She holds a Master’s and a PhD in Engineering from MIT and a doctorate in Law from Lancaster University.
